Our currency is the Simoleon. You will get 5 Simoleons every time you post something, and 10 every time you start a thread. You can hire someone to do something for you by offering them an agreed upon amount of Simoleons. You can also buy and trade items. If you do not uphold your end of the transaction, the admins will take away your money and give it to the other person themselves. If you do not have the agreed upon amount of money, you will go into debt.
In the bottom right-hand side of the screen, you will see a menu with several options. The bank is for storing your money that you don't keep on-hand in your wallet. It has a 4% interest rate. The Stock Market is for buying stocks in a real-world company. It tracks how the company's stocks are doing, and the dollar-value is translated into Simoleon-value. Donations are for if you are feeling like a little angel, or just compensating someone monetarily. The store is used to buy items. Finally, the Gift/Trade Requests is for trading Items (or just giving them away for free or for compensation).
